Greetings and manifold blessings from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory and power and honor forever.

Scripture Reading

Psalm 82:1 God stands in the congregation of the mighty; He judges among the gods.

Deuteronomy 32:3-4  Because I will publish the Name of the LORD: ascribe you greatness unto our God. He is the Rock, His work is perfect: for all His ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is He.

Deuteronomy 32:36  For the LORD shall judge His people, and repent Himself for His servants, when He sees that their power is gone, and there is none shut up, or left.

1 Samuel 2:25  If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the LORD, who shall intreat for him? Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the LORD would slay them.

Proverbs 21:1-3   The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: He turns it wherever He will. Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord ponders the hearts. To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

Psalm 72:2  God shall judge His people with righteousness, and the poor with judgment.

1 Corinthians 11:31-32  For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

A New Chapter

Heavenly Father, who art in Heaven, awesome and powerful is Your Name.

Again we have come to the end of another chapter. Today we say, Amen, as we come to the end of another year; a year that has brought victories and pain, joys and defeat, answered prayers, and unanswered questions.

But here we are, the hand-picked of the Lord, the privileged, the ones chosen to continue on to a new chapter. Father, in Your sovereignty You have judged and blessed some to continue.

…Because of our righteousness? No.

…Because of our faithfulness? No.

…Because of Your mercy? Thank You Father.

…Because of Your great love.

Only God judges our lives, closes its chapter and gives us a new page to make the wrongs right. But some day, Father, the chapter of our lives will close, and the verdict will be final. The final verdict will be final.

…It will judge us on the merit of obedience to Your Word.

…It will judge us on the merit of truth versus lies.

…It will judge us on the merit of hearts of humility.

…It will judge us on the merit of our faithfulness to the Almighty God.

…It will judge us on the merit of the talent and the potential we possessed.

…It will judge us on the merit of the many times we were forgiven by the Lord.

…It will judge us on the merit of ‘he that hath an ear to hear, let him hear.’

Today, the last day of this chapter, we prostrate ourselves before the altar of judgement, and humbly open our hearts – as a Nation, as the Church, as leaders, as a people – and ask You to judge us. For when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world; a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is He.

What is Your ruling Father…

What do You see…

How do we compare with Your will for this end-time…

Are You repenting Yourself for Your servants…

The power You have given to us, is it gone…

Can You find 10 just men in this Nation…

Can You find true intercessors…

Can You find those who delight in Your ways and walk in Your truth…

Can You find those who honor You and love not their lives unto death…

Father, You judge by the standard of right… righteousness. Did we do it right, or did we please our desires and others? So desperately we try to please others and not You, our Father. Yet true judgement is only in the hand of the Lord.

If we sin against our brother, the judges of the world or our brother will judge us: but if we sin against the LORD, who shall intreat for us?

Lord, we know You will not beat us into subjection. You have given us free-will, and it does not matter how many times we say, Lord I surrender; until we actively yield ourselves to Your will, we will see the judgement of the Lord upon our land.

This we do, we cry out for mercy. We throw ourselves at the foot of the cross, and cry for a heart of obedience. How different would this year have been, if we had walked in true obedience? But here comes a new chapter. Father, we will call this chapter, The Year of Obedience to the Lord God Almighty, and we will see the Word of the Lord manifest in its fullness, because Your judgement was full of mercy and the verdict was not final.

Thank You Father for the intercession of Jesus Christ our Lord and a new chapter, a new year to fulfill the heart of our Father God. Amen.
