Priests and Prophets of the Promise

Greetings and manifold blessings from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory and power and honor forever.
For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins: Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity. And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins. And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron. So also Christ glorified not Himself to be made a high priest; but He that said unto Him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee. As He said also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. Who in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto Him that was able to save Him from death, and was heard in that He feared; Though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered; And being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him; Called of God a high priest after the order of Melchisedec.
For the earth which drinks in the rain that comes oft upon it, and brings forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receives blessings from God: But that which bears thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned. But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have showed toward His Name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that every one of you do show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That you be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he swore by himself. Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so, after He had patiently endured, He obtained the promise. For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife. Wherein God, willing more abundantly to show unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which enters into that within the veil; Whither the Forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made a high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
Priests and Prophets of the Promise
Most righteous, loving, and eternal Father, we come bowing, entering in. Lord we are humbled by Your Presence. There is such reverence in Your Presence.
…We know we have entered in when our hearts fear before You.
…We know we have entered in when the tone of our hearts change.
…We know we have entered in when compassion and mercy flood our hearts.
…We know we have entered in when bubbling from the inside and out of our lips flow the joy of the knowledge You are depositing and forming on the inside.
The change is beginning to take shape,
– and our minds are beginning to conform,
– and words are flowing from our bellies,
– and our hearts are softened to follow after that which is now flowing:
… the river of God,
… the stream of righteousness,
… the water of life,
… the fountain of healing overflowing from within.
Go ahead Father, change us.
Go ahead Lord, transform our minds.
Go ahead Holy One, melt away the callous, empty, shallow experiences of this world, because in You we find peace. A holy peace that settles our intellects and quickens our understanding from all-knowing, to a deep hunger and desire to drink and be filled.
Just about the time we were ready to give up hope, here comes the word of faith: you are a priest forever after the order of Melchisedec.
A priest, not chosen or ordained by man, but by God; that we may present our bodies a living sacrifice that our brother may have life.
Oh God. Our brother, our household, our neighbor, our Church, our nation still waits on us to cry out on their behalf. Yes indeed, this priestly high calling demands that I offer myself a pure sacrifice unto God, which is my reasonable service, so that I may intercede on behalf of my brother.
And my brother, my Church, my country, does not benefit from my criticism, they benefit from my strong crying and tears. And it is working in me holy obedience, and perfecting me into becoming an author, a writer of the holy ordinances of those who inherit the promise; those whose obedience becomes an invitation into the revelation of God which is waiting to be revealed on the earth.
Seeing then it is impossible for God to lie, and His oath has settled the matter that I have been called a priest forever, the promise of the inherited blessings must be attained by a heart whose only desire is to see the manifold riches of God unfold though my entering into the veil of suffering and purity and holiness.
Cover us Lord, cover our nakedness. Not the covering of hiding our shame, but the covering of blotting out our transgressions by the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord.
…Cover us, hide us from evil.
…Cover us, deliver us from blood guiltiness.
…Cover us, remove the iniquity of selfishness.
…Cover us, wash away the stain.
…Cover us, and brings us into the Presence of Your power and promise, and let us rest in Your beauty.
For we are like the earth which drinks in the rain and brings forth herbs and receives blessings from the Lord. Seeing then it is impossible for God to lie, the promise is sure, the blessing is sure; now Father help us to drink in the rain.
…the rain of sonship
…the rain of obedience
…the rain of suffering
…the rain of patience
…the rain of full assurance
…the rain of perfecting our purpose
…the rain of coming into the joys of eternal salvation.
O Righteous Father, we know that only purity destroys sin. We cannot work the deeds of unrighteousness and reap the fruits of the Holy Spirit. So we cry out with strong crying, with supplication; we prophecy with the language of our tears, heal our land; Faithful One, heal our land. Amen.
